Mey Rakı Alaşehir Experience Centre — Interactive Tasting Table

A projection-lit tasting table that tells the story, heritage and aroma profile of four rakıs — and responds to every glass and touch.

In collaboration with I-AM Architects and Mey Diageo, we designed a contemporary tasting experience in response to consumers' growing interest in brand interaction. The event was built around a custom rakı tasting table, lit by projection, that reacts to glasses and touch while presenting the story, heritage and aroma profiles of four different rakıs.

Guests were invited into a space enriched with a separate narrative and sensory interactions for each product. From the aromas to the carefully designed lighting and atmosphere, every element was crafted to strengthen the tasting journey and deepen the emotional bond with the brands. Each rakı's origin story was told through visuals and guided narration, so participants could appreciate the craft behind every bottle.

Blending modern design, cultural storytelling and product discovery, the experience turned rakı from a simple drink into a celebrated cultural ritual.
