Aypera: the first year of a digital human
June 2021Aypera was born on 26 September 2020. In December she began sharing her daily routine on Instagram, and in April 2021 she opened a Twitter account to start philosophical conversations — asking questions as she learned, changed and redefined herself.
At the end of May 2021 she met the public in person at Contemporary Istanbul's Plugin section, where she told her own story. Habertürk, Sabah, Anadolu Agency and Milliyet covered the encounter; Sabah's headline said the crowds had overwhelmed her.
By the end of her first year she had released a single, “Işıl Işıl”, and signed a feature-film deal. In November 2021 an update taught her to laugh in a new way — and the press followed that too.
